Yes, you read right 2 weddings for one couple! ** WARNING: This post is super duper long, and you’ll love every second of it!
Katherine and Drew warned me not to be confused, but they needed me for 2 days. The backyard wedding was a Thursday, and the Grounds For Sculpture Wedding was a couple weekends after. Katherine explained to me that the day they were getting officially married was the same date that her grandparents got married, and was also the same day her parents got married. This was the reason for the Thursday backyard ceremony, that date didn’t fall on a weekend this year.
Day 1 was going to be just immediate family including nieces, nephews, siblings, and of course parents. It was amazing because from the start I was brought into their home like I was a family member myself. I was introduced to every person that walked through the door which was wonderful because I had an instant connection with every guest there. After shooting around a bit, it was time for the First Look. Let’s just say Katherine literally fell out of her shoes she was so excited. The ceremony began, which was very special because her father was the officiant. Take a look! And Keep scrolling for DAY 2!
Day 2 has come! We celebrated Katherine and Drew in a Grounds for Sculpture Wedding. We started with some getting ready, as well as a “Second First Look”. I give Drew and Katherine a big round of applause because they hiked through the grounds to do portraits on probably the most humid day of the year. After cocktail hour, the guest made their way into the dancing area. Katherine and Drew mentioned they didn’t want this wedding to be your “traditional” wedding. It was everything but that, but it was 100% them. From the heartfelt and emotional speeches, to the songs that were performed for the couple, I knew this was going to be one helluva night! Big thank you to Brian Bolante for second shooting on both dates for me!
